About Dr. Dylina

Dr. Dylina was born in Lewistown, Montana and raised in Washington State, Colorado, Oklahoma, and California. He graduated from Lompoc, California High School in 1966. While attending Hancock Junior College and San Diego State University, Dr. Dylina put himself through college working as a bag boy at a golf course, a construction laborer, an ice plant worker, dishwasher, diatomaceous earth packer, and liquor store attendant. In 1970 the Dr. was drafted into the US Army (first year of the numerical draft) while lacking 15 units for a business administration degree at SDSU. He was assigned for infantry training at Fort Ord, California and then immediately sent overseas to the Republic of Vietnam for a 13 month tour with the 25th Infantry Division. After an honorable discharge in 1972 he moved to Solvang, California and pursued a career in professional golf which lasted one year. He returned to school at California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo, California in 1973 to obtain his pre dental prerequisites. His studies included organic and inorganic chemistry, physics, physiology, zoology, and quantitative analysis while maintaining membership on the Dean’s list every semester (over 3.75 average). He was accepted into the University of Southern California’s dental school in 1976 and graduated in 1980. Dr. Dylina began his practice in Duncan, Oklahoma where he practiced for 7 years, thereafter he practiced in Merced, California for 23 years.

After retiring to Kerrville, TX in 2010, Dr. Dylina decided to get his Texas dental license after several doctors expressed needing guidance for their patients. He and his wife then moved to Florida in 2014, to follow their granddaughters. The need for helping patients was again apparent, so he acquired his Florida dental license.

Dr. Dylina and his wife Lisa have been married 30+ years. Their son Robert graduated with a finance degree in Turlock, CA and is now a mortgage banker at Envoy Mortgage in Merced, CA. Their daughter Elizabeth, resides in Lake Wales, Fl with her 2 daughters and husband Chad, who is a pastor at South Lake Wales Church of God. Elizabeth is in process of earning her doctorate in psychology with the goal of working as a school psychologist.
